Terms of Service
Effective date: March 18, 2026
The short version
RedlineBot is an AI tool that analyzes contracts for freelancers. It is not a law firm, not an attorney, and does not give legal advice. You pay $9 per review, your contract is deleted after analysis, and results expire in 30 days. If the analysis fails, you get an automatic refund.
What RedlineBot is
RedlineBot ("the Service") is an AI-powered contract analysis tool operated by RedlineBot ("we," "us," "our"). You upload a freelance contract as a PDF, and our AI reviews it clause by clause, flags risks, and suggests alternative language.
The Service is designed for freelancers and independent contractors who want a quick, affordable way to understand what they're signing before they sign it.
What RedlineBot is not
RedlineBot is not a law firm or attorney. The Service does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or create an attorney-client relationship of any kind. No interaction with RedlineBot — whether through uploading documents, receiving analysis, or any other use — establishes an attorney-client relationship.
AI analysis may contain errors, miss important context, or misinterpret clauses that a qualified attorney would handle differently. The output is informational only. It is a starting point, not a final answer.
Always consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction before making legal decisions or signing contracts.
Your responsibilities
By using RedlineBot, you agree that:
- You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on the analysis
- You will not rely on RedlineBot as a substitute for professional legal counsel
- You have the right to upload the contract you submit (it is your contract, or you have permission to share it)
- You will not upload documents containing malicious content
- You are at least 18 years old
Payment terms
Each contract review costs $9 USD, charged as a one-time payment through Stripe. No subscription, no account, no recurring charges.
Payments are non-refundable once the analysis has been successfully delivered. However, if the AI analysis fails for any reason (technical error, processing failure, etc.), your payment is automatically refunded through Stripe. You do not need to request this — it happens on its own.
Refunds typically take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank.
How we handle your contract
We take your privacy seriously, especially when it comes to legal documents. Here is exactly what happens to your data:
- During analysis: Your contract text is extracted from the PDF, sent to the configured OpenAI-compatible API for analysis, and the results are saved
- After analysis: The original contract text is deleted from our servers. We do not keep a copy
- Review results: Your analysis results are stored for 30 days so you can access them, then automatically deleted
- No long-term storage: We do not build a database of contracts. Your document passes through and is gone
For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
Your contract is yours. Uploading a document to RedlineBot does not transfer any ownership or rights to us. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over contracts you upload or the content within them.
The analysis output (risk ratings, redline suggestions, counter-proposal emails) is generated for your use. You are free to use, copy, modify, and share the analysis results however you like.
The RedlineBot name, logo, and service design are our property. Please don't copy or redistribute the service itself.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not warrant that:
- The AI analysis will be accurate, complete, or error-free
- The Service will be uninterrupted or available at all times
- The redline suggestions will be appropriate for your specific legal situation
- Using the Service will produce any particular legal outcome
AI is a tool, not an expert. It can miss things. It can get things wrong. Treat the output as a helpful second opinion, not gospel.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RedlineBot and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or any decisions made based on the AI analysis.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the specific review in question (i.e., $9).
Acceptable use
Do not use RedlineBot to:
- Upload documents you do not have the right to share
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service
- Circumvent payment or access controls
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who violates these terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Tennessee.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Continued use of RedlineBot after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice (such as a banner on the site).
